Job Description

Vortex Strategy & Recruitment is actively seeking a Legal Assistant in Labour and Employment Law for its client, a prestigious international law firm based in Montreal.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Transcribe/edit letters, agreements, contracts, procedures, reports, or other dictated or handwritten documents

  • Perform administrative tasks related to the position, including time entries, expense reports, and billing

  • Manage the calendar and ensure appropriate follow-up

  • Maintain up-to-date filing systems

  • Make photocopies, send faxes, and perform any other tasks assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a law firm

  • Good knowledge of Outlook and Word, including their advanced functions

  • Knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel, an asset

  • The firm’s clientele is also international. We must be able to provide our services in both French and English. A strong command of both languages is required due to the nature and delivery of professional services and the need to frequently communicate with colleagues in other provinces or countries and to serve clients in both languages

  • Thoroughness and attention to detail
