Shift Supervisor

Vortex Strategy & Recruitment is actively seeking a Shift Supervisor to join the Processing team for its client, a large international manufacturing company. The position is based at the Crabtree plant in Lanaudière.

Reporting to the Processing Operations Superintendent, you will be responsible for:

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Support the production teams within the manufacturing and processing units composed of operators and assistant operators;

• Act as a resource person and provide the necessary support to ensure the proper functioning of the Manufacturing, Processing, and Logistics departments;

• Ensure compliance with organizational rules and the effectiveness of programs implemented at the plant;

• Promote company values in health and safety, environmental responsibility, and quality;

• Plan, organize, direct, and control the various production activities of the plant in order to achieve established objectives;

• Act as an intermediary and provide support to maximize unit efficiency and ensure product quality;

• Ensure continuity of operations by arranging required replacements.

• Requirements

• High school diploma;

• 5 to 10 years of experience in a unionized industrial environment and in personnel management;

• Strong communication and leadership skills;

• Experience managing unionized employees (an asset);

• Ability to manage priorities effectively.
